Tastings

I offer in-person tastings by appointment. My tastings are typically for the bride and groom and include a choice of 3 flavor combinations from my menu. Additional guests are always welcome to attend and taste with advance notice.

This initial meeting will give you a chance to sample my flavors, choose your favorites, ask questions and share a bit of your personality which is always beneficial in my design process. It gives me a chance to gather ideas of your overall wedding style, inspirations, colors, number of servings and the all-important budget.

Design

My designs lean toward timeless classic elegance with an emphasis on sugar art and most importantly, your inspiration. My goal is to create your dream wedding cake.

My cakes are covered with all-butter buttercream and the highest quality fondant. I will help guide you through the process of choosing the optimal finish for your cake as it often depends on your design choice and venue environment.

My preferred design elements often include sugar flowers or other hand made elements coordinated with your overall vision. I love taking inspiration from unexpected places such as your wedding dress, invitation suite or a special memento.

Delivery

Due to the obvious inherent risks, I personally deliver and set up all of my cakes. I charge a flat local delivery fee within 30 miles and price per mile thereafter.

Pricing

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking for the date of your event. Not all of my cakes require the same ingredients and level of complexity. Therefore, the cost of your cake will depend on your final flavor and filling choice as well as the final design. My cakes are created solely by me and each one receives my full attention. My prices reflect the time, artistry, and dedication I offer to all of my clients.

The guide below will give you an idea of the number of tiers you may need for the number of guests you are expecting for a beautiful fondant covered tiered cake filled with the finest ingredients. Simple and elegant with sharp edges - the perfect canvas for your dream wedding cake.

All 4” wedding tiers are for the bride and groom’s first anniversary and are complimentary

2 - tier 4+ 6 20 servings from 260.00

3 - tier 4 + 6 + 8 45 servings from 585.00

4 - tier 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 70 servings from 910.00

5 - tier 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 + 12 165 servings from 2145.00

Portion Size: 

My wedding portion slice size is 1" x 2" x 5-6" tall.

Guest servings:  

I recommend servings for 75-80% of your guests as not everyone will have a piece of cake.

Additional portions:

Sheet cakes can be provided if you require additional servings or if you prefer a small intimate cake for cutting photos but still need additional servings for your guests.

“Display” tiers:

I often recommend replacing real cake tiers with display or 'faux' tiers if you would like a more elaborate design or an abundance of sugar elements or flowers. Display tiers are also a better choice for warm weather conditions.  Although display cakes are a popular practice, it does not necessarily afford a less expensive option as the supply costs, artistry, and labor to build a display cake are comparable to creating a real cake version.
